Anime Parallele is the 19th album by Italian singer Laura Pausini, released on October 27th, 2023,
in both Italian and Spanish versions by Warner Music, marking her musical comeback after 5 years.
During this wait, the globally renowned artist starred in a biopic, received a Golden Globe, an Oscar nomination and embarked on a world tour, culminating in celebrations for her extraordinary 30-year spanning career with special performances in New York, Madrid, and Milan.
Crafting visuals for this concept album was a rewarding journey for our team.
We teamed up with the artist from the beginning, coming up with ideas, working on production and handling post-production. Always staying true to OUR commitment to authenticity 🤟
Project Structure
The album is divided into 16 tracks in the Standard version and 18 in the Deluxe one, each representing a real story lived by Laura Pausini. The central figures are genuine individuals with real-life experiences, offering diverse emotional perspectives as they navigate the same streets in different directions.
Despite never crossing paths, these parallel souls should be respected
and their stories are worth telling.
Visual project analytics
The project's core components comprise the Artist, the main characters of the stories and the street, a symbol chosen by the artist, portrayed within an urban environment featuring asphalt and pedestrian stripes.
Our initial study revolved around crafting the street, employing both photographic and 3D CGI techniques.
Framing
After finalizing the style, lighting, and asphalt treatment, the Artist chose to showcase an aerial perspective for the Standard and Deluxe version covers. This choice was made to spotlight all the protagonists comprising the album.
Our team delved into planning the ideal setup, involving capturing each character individually from above and then constructing the composition during post-production.
Portrait
The photographic style to be adopted in this urban setting was indicated by the artist through the work of Elia Pellegrini,
Noruwei's Digital Creative Director. Elia's dreamlike and surreal portraits, set in fantastical landscapes, were the chosen language to to capture the emotional essence of this story.
